Basis: Radiation Protection Department Approval No. 15/2026 (issued 05-10-2026, valid to 05-10-2027).
Why it matters
Every diagnostic X-ray or nuclear medicine room needs shielding sized to its workload and to whoever sits on the other side of each wall. The Radiation Protection Department expects to see the calculation in the licence file.
What you receive
- A shielding report for each room: walls, doors, windows, floor and ceiling
- The required lead or concrete equivalent, with every assumption stated
- Notes for the contractor and for the check after installation
How we work
- We collect the room drawings, equipment data, workload and occupancy
- We calculate each barrier using recognised methods (NCRP Report 147 for X-ray, AAPM TG-108 for nuclear medicine and PET)
- We issue the report and answer the regulator's questions on it
Duration
Set in the quotation after we review your facility file.
