Government Licensing

ALDuha Institute for Training and Environmental Consulting operates under an official licence issued by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change – State of Qatar, which authorises the Institute to provide professional training and consulting services in environmental safety and radiation protection.

All training activities are carried out within the approved legal and regulatory framework and under the supervision of the competent regulatory authorities.

Licence Numbers

Institutional Licence for Training in Ionizing Radiation — Licence No. 25-00005003, issued by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change – Radiation Protection Department, State of Qatar, under Articles 2 and 7 of Decree-Law No. 31 of 2002.

  • Licensed training specialisations: radiation protection in industrial radiography; Radiation Protection Officer (industrial); radiation protection for nuclear gauges; Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM); radiation protection in well logging; and Radiation Protection Officer (medical). Training on the transport of radioactive material is also authorised.
  • Approval to provide radiation protection consulting services — No. 15/2026, issued 05-10-2026 and valid to 05-10-2027, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change – Radiation Protection Department. Approved consulting types: study of building plans for facilities using radioactive sources; radiation shielding calculations for diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine departments; preparation of radiological emergency plans; establishment, study and review of radiation protection programmes; and measurement of the radiation safety level in facilities using medical radiation sources. The Institute also provides research consulting and radiation safety studies.

Courses outside the licensed specialisations are delivered in accordance with the requirements and guidance of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Training Content Authorization

The training curricula and educational materials delivered by ALDuha Institute for Training and Environmental Consulting are reviewed and approved by the competent local authorities, including:

  • The national authorities responsible for radiation and nuclear regulatory oversight
  • Training programmes are developed and periodically updated in line with local regulatory requirements to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance and practical applicability in the medical, industrial and oil and gas sectors.
Important Clarification
  • The Institute does not currently claim any international academic or training accreditation. All programmes are delivered on the basis of official local approvals and training content approved within the State of Qatar.

Applied International Standards

Although the Institute's formal approval status is local, all training programmes are designed, delivered and continuously updated in accordance with internationally recognised best practice in radiation protection, in full compliance with the laws and regulations of the State of Qatar.

Future Accreditation RoadmapFuture Accreditation Roadmap

As part of its commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in training, ALDuha Institute for Training and Environmental Consulting is studying future pathways to obtain international accreditation from recognised professional bodies.

Any such accreditation will be pursued only after all technical, regulatory and legal requirements have been met, and in full conformity with the regulations in force in the State of Qatar.

Any international accreditation obtained in the future will be announced officially through the Institute's official channels.

Transparency statement: the Institute's current status is local licensing and approval. Any future international accreditation will be documented and publicly disclosed through official channels.
